Directions
- Make the sauce
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add diced bell pepper, onion, and garlic, and cook until tender. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, and crushed tomatoes. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer uncovered for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally to let the flavors deepen. - Prepare the noodles and cheeses
While the sauce simmers, cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside. In a bowl, combine ricotta, 1½ cups mozzarella, and ½ cup Cello Parmesan. Mix until creamy and well blended. - Assemble the lasagna
Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer with noodles, more sauce, and the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers two more times, finishing with sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella and Cello Parmesan on top. - Bake
Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top. - Serve
Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and enjoy the comforting layers of rich sauce, melty cheese, and holiday warmth.
