Bacon BBQ Burgers
As we like to say, summer is a time to grill smarter, not harder.
This burger build brings the best of both worlds: juicy, flavorful @schweidandsons The Prime Burger Blend and bold, creamy @Cellocheesebrand Smoky Pepper Rubbed Fontal — crafted to melt beautifully and add a peppery kick in every bite.
Directions
- Preheat your grill to medium high.
- Cut bacon pieces in half and line them up on a cast iron pan.
- Slice the Smoky Pepper Fontal cheese and set aside.
- Once the grill is heated, place the cast iron pan with the bacon on the grill. Close the lid and allow to cook for 5 minutes.
- While the bacon cooks, prepare your burgers. Season with salt and pepper.
- Open the grill, flip your bacon over so it begins to crisp on the other side.
- In the meantime, add your burgers to the grill. Close the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the bacon and set aside on a plate while the burgers cook.
- When the burgers are brown on the bottom and edges, flip them.
- Add a stack of smoky pepper fontal slices to each burger. Close the lid of the grill again. This will allow the heat of the grill to surround the burger to complete the cooking process and melt the cheese.
- While the burgers are finishing up, you can put the buns on the top rack of the grill to get a nice toast. Remove them when the burgers are done.
- Burgers are done when the internal temperature is 160 degrees. Use a meat thermometer to check.
- Place your burgers on the buns and top with crispy bacon, bbq sauce, tomato, and lettuce. Enjoy!
